Week One Plotting Post

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Plotting Post for Week 1! Now that the prompts are up, please feel free to use this as a medium to share ideas and plot with others! You are still welcome to use Plurk and Discord to plot, though we highly encourage using the weekly plotting posts for widespread/important plans since Dreamwidth is the common platform between everyone in our playerbase.

That being said, if you’d prefer to use these posts to talk about general plans too (kind of like a CR meme!) then that’s fine! We just wanted to provide a space for all of our players to get involved and share their ideas. We realize that it may seem like there's a lot to do; do not feel pressured to do everything, just do whatever you're all comfortable with and the mods will adjust accordingly!

This is the first time we’re trying this for a short-term game, so please do give us feedback on if these posts are working for you or not!

Kairi is going to be offering to teach people how to make spears and use them for ONLY spear fishing! She can also tech some other basic survival things like making fire, gathering supplies, etc. if that helps too. If you're interested let me know!

So! Lio is going to use the Nook Phone on Monday to like, get an idea of who everyone is and where skills lie and if people wanna pitch in to help each other. This is a Thing he does, he likes making sure people are taken care of and etc especially given characters like Serval making him think there are actual children here what the hell Nook. I'll have that top level up on the weekly post shortly.

Otherwise, I've got nothing planned and am open to literally anything, come make his life hell.

I'm so sorry, she's uneducated and confused. (And she wouldn't be any help correcting him on her age anyway, she hasn't counted.)

Serval is happy to encourage everyone with their own skills, though! Her cat jumping may be nerfed, but it's still better than the average human, and she can climb trees for fruit or try to get balloon presents down.

Minato's pet project for this week will be trying to get the plane moving, with plans to sail it like a boat if he can't get it into the air. Presumably this will not work, but this is where he's expending effort anyways.

Other than that, building some sort of raft so he can get out on sea and hang out with sharks and hopefully not topple overboard and get pulled under with his 2302409584 extra pounds of wings. Flying is still a WIP!! he will keep trying

Lio's down to help Minato try and figure the plane out. His experience with transport machines is his motorcycle and also a mech but hey, gotta count for something!

Ashe will be very excited that Tom Nook delivered ingredients for them to use. He has no problem cooking and would love to meet other cooks too! He's not one for fishing but he can help cook the fish and help feed the island! He will need help with his cell phone cause what's a cell phone? Other than that I'm open for him to get to know more people around the island!

Noctis is still gonna be mad and annoyed at life just a little. Which is only going to be amplified at the news that there was another plane that came in the dead of night. Whoops.

But kitty here needs a coping mechanism and damnit if he isn't going to grab some fishing rods and setting up camp by the river and beach. He'll probably be found by water sources frequently, either napping or actively fishing.

Noctis is not a cook and he's not sure he wants to try without Iggy's support here. But he will be trying his hands at the DIY recipes. He'll be making tons of fishing rods for sure, but he may be a little bold in his crafting skills by the end of the week to try new things.

So tl;dr: still sulking, gonna fish the hell out of this place and could be crafting lots of things? So fishing and crafting buddies would be a grand idea for him! Also, someone please make sure the boy eats (just not veggies plz). He is more than willing to provide fish as ingredients.

What does everyone think of a gathering to get to know each other? Just basic intros and stuff + anything else people might want to share (I.E. offer lessons or general help).

Other than potentially organizing such a meeting, Sylvando's just going to be getting his bearings. He'll help people with fishing and bug-catching + other tips and tricks to get them by, since who knows how long they'll be here?

He'd also love if someone could help him with the NookPhone, since Erdrea does not have this kind of tech. It sounds wonderful, though!

Adelaide will be keeping herself as busy as possible this week on the island, because she's bad at staying idle.

The good news means there's yet another cook willing to feed everyone! She will be trying her best to take care of everyone she can, because she at least has Some survival skills. Though... Those mostly fall in the "can cook and build a fire" category, not so much the fishing and hunting and et cetera categories. She's. She's trying her best.

Otherwise she will just be being a busybody!

Did somebody ask for someone with wilderness survival skills!? I mean, Walder is very definitely going to be doing his damnedest to help people learn how to rough it and teach some helpful stuff! He can’t accomplish everything he usually would just because the environment is slightly different than he’s used to, but he can do a lot!

A few things on Iori's end for this week -

1) She knows how to cook, so she'll be adding to the many chefs category of things, especially given that they have a bit more ingredients now, thank goodness.

2) Iori also knows how to handwash clothes on her own, so if anybody - but especially any of the other girls need help with that, she is here for you.

3) BONDING ACTIVITIES. She talked to Kaede about wanting to play a few icebreaker games to help everyone get to know each other so if anybody wants to throw a meeting sometime within the early week and coordinate something, feel free to hit me up.

Other than that, I'm pretty open to a lot, as me and Iori are going to pretty much #yolo along like I usually do because I'm terrible at doing too much concrete plotting in case things proverbially (or literally) catch fire.

Laurent is mostly going to keep himself busy with exploration, trying out the DIY things, and also offering a hand for cooking. He can make edible food so that's something. He can also just chill with your character if you prefer more CR bonding. Also I'm not gonna say his stamina is shit, but he'll probably tire somewhat easily... he's a city boy.

For the most part, Kaede will be gathering resources and try to get to know a lot of the people here! She will definitely want to learn how to fish so if anyone wants to teach her, she'd be more than happy to learn!

If anyone needs help with anything, Kaede would be more than happy to help out with it. She can also cook a little bit so if anyone needs help with cooking, she'll help out!

I'm open to pretty much anything!

Colette isn't going to have a whole lot of personal goals this week beyond exploring the available island, most likely. She's going to be interested in getting to know everyone better, as well as help out wherever she can.

She's able to do laundry by hand (fantasy medieval gang, rise up) and cook (just don't ask for bell peppers), so she's more than happy to help show people how it works.

Also, if someone can show her how the phone works, she'll be grateful. If someone can show her any kind of kaomoji beyond what she picks up on the network, she'll forever be in your debt.

Sonico is new at this whole "fend for yourself" thing, so she'll be trying to learn how to use the diy tools, specially the axe and rod! She can handle the net and the shovel, maybe.

Oh yeah! Sonico can cook! Not... the greatest at it but she can do it!

Other than that, she'll try to make friends, because she likes being alone, but also friends make life easier!

Also if anyone needs help using the Nook Phone, she can teach you~ ☆

While Ren is used to Surviving, he is not really trained in Survival. Not ourdoorsy types, so he's going to be a little lost when it comes to everything. And though he's incredibly relieved to not have to be the one taking charge of things for once, habit's going to kick in and he's going to be going around trying to help people out with this and that and make sure everyone's doing alright. Probably putting together lists of supplies and the like too to keep track of.

Eventually he's going to want to explore the further reaches of the island, see what else he can find. And pray there's coffee beans somewhere. He's become kind of an addict. Sojiro is a dangerous drug dealer.

Sengoku's mostly going to be chilling and keeping himself busy by exploring. He's pretty outdoorsy and has fairly good endurance so if anyone needs help getting something out of a tree or moving heavy stuff, he'll be happy to lend a hand. He's also going to want to try and get to know more people.

While he's not an expert, he's fairly decent at cooking and fishing. He'll be able to help out with basic recipes and gladly help others with fishing or bug-catching if they need it.

Besides that, I'm basically open to everything!

I have no particular plans with Milla as of right now aside from having her adjust to everything. One thing I'd like her to help with eventually when it happens is making houses, but she wouldn't be the first person to think about it normally. Otherwise, she can help with basic survival stuff. I just wouldn't trust her with the apple trees.

I do think it would be fun to teach her how to cook eventually, but that can happen at any time.

I'm happy to throw her wherever though and get her to meet more people~

aw ye, joonghyuk is very very very familiar with surviving off of what's around! but... in a more gruesome sense. so he's quite relaxed with gathering and fishing. aside from that, he's known to be extremely good at cooking? however... only a limited amount of people will have a taste for free. first come, first serve! unless they can provide their own ingredients (fish).

also, i was told they can attempt gardening with the veggies they're given, so... he's going to try to garden in case worst come to the worst happens and no planes come back with supplies.

i might as well add he can be found chopping down some trees shirtless because coco said i could.

Mira has some survival skills, but unfortunately, she sucks at fishing!! However, I'm super down for her learning. She can definitely cook up any fish people catch, and cooking/baking is the number one way she deals with stress. So that's a thing.

She isn't great with making things, but she'll totally gather up resources for other more crafty types to make things.
